Log in securely in 2 steps through an SMS code, with or without a mobile phone. This helps you to protect your personal data even better.

Therefore, add your mobile or landline number to your DigiD account and activate logging in with SMS verification.

Please note: many organisations will soon no longer allow you to log in with only your username and password. Then you will always need your phone to log in.

How does it work?

You log in as usual with your DigiD username and password. You will then receive an SMS with the code on your phone. You enter this code. If you only have a landline number, you may receive a spoken text message code. You will be called automatically.

What do I need?

  • mobile phone or tablet with a SIM card (06 xxxxx)
  • landline number (070 xxxxx)

How does it work?

Authorisation

Your username, password and PIN code are private. Never give this data to another person. If you want help arranging matters online, you can authorise someone to use DigiD on your behalf. You do not have to give another person your login credentials for this.
