Accessibility statement
DigiD must be accessible to everyone and easy to use. Whether on a computer, tablet or mobile phone. Also for people who are visually impaired, blind or deaf.
DigiD and accessibility
When creating DigiD websites and apps, we check whether they are accessible. In addition, we have this tested by an expert company. We check the following:
- Reading software: Pages and images must be read clearly with reading software.
- Smooth functioning: The website and apps must work well on all types of devices with the most commonly used browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari).
- Videos: Videos are subtitled and have a written text.
- Zoom level: The websites are still easy to read at a zoom level of 400%.
- Simple language: Texts are written in clear and simple language.
- Tab key: The website can be operated easily with the tab key on the keyboard.
- User research: The user research has been done with a diverse group of users, including people who cannot hear, see or read well.
Accessibility statements
We are obliged to show the level of accessibility of our websites and apps. We do this by making accessibility statements for all websites and apps and posting them on the website. The statement states to what extent the website and apps already meet the requirements and what measures we are still taking to meet all the requirements.
These statements are always updated and can be found in the register of accessibility statements.
