DigiD does not work properly in every browser. There are four browsers you can use to log in using DigiD: Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari (Apple).
You can recognise these browsers by the icons below. If you have opened one of these browsers, you can go to the website where you want to log in using DigiD.
Are you not using any of the browsers listed above?
- Download one of these browsers from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the browser and go to the website you want to log in to.
- Try to log in again using DigiD.
- If you are also unable to log in using one of these browsers, please go to checklist number 7.
Are you using any of the browsers listed above?
Then check if you are using a shortcut. A shortcut is an icon on your desktop/start-up screen for quick access to a website. Do not use shortcuts. Always use a browser to go to the website where you want to log in using DigiD.
Or test if you can log in with another browser from the list above:
- Download one of these browsers on your device from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Please try to log in again.
Can you log in with another browser? Then you know that it has to do with the settings of the browser in which you received the error message. You can follow checklist number 5 to 8 to solve the problem in the browser you were using first.
